Skipper
Qualified skipper with a passion for the ocean and all that swims in it.
From an early age, I have had a deep love of the sea.
Since childhood, I have loved spending time in and around the ocean. Whether that be swimming, surfing, beachcombing, rock pooling or fishing, the sea is one of the great passions in my life.
I have been a keen angler for over 25 years on both land and sea but now focus my efforts on my boat Odyssey.
I have a passion for hunting all species of fish, large and small, using a wide range of techniques, but I have an addiction to chasing sharks off the West Wales coast.
Notable catches include:
In addition to these, you can add smaller species such as cod, rays, tope, smooth hound, bass, pollack, mackerel and many other species.
When you come aboard I will use all my knowledge and experience to hopefully find you that fish of a lifetime!
All levels of ability are welcome on board. It doesn't matter if you are starting out or if you have fished all over the world. I am happy to offer my advice just as I am happy to hear yours to boost our chances of a great day out.
I am an active member of the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain, UKBFTA and Sportfishing Club of the British Isles.
I hold a commercially endorsed Yachtmaster Offshore qualification.

5 years ago, I'd never have said I'd be catching Blue Sharks in the Celtic Deeps or Mackerel fishing around the islands. It can be such an adrenaline rush to tackle a huge shark or pull in strings of Pollack to take home for tea.
I love exploring the hidden gems of the Pembrokeshire coast by sea. Paddling the coast by kayak gives you a totally different perspective to the one you see on coastal walks.
I love the abundance of nature at sea that never fails to amaze, my particular favourites being the puffins, dolphins and whales.
The sun setting over Milford Haven as we power back to the marina is the perfect end to a day full of adventure that will never get old.
The Salty Sea Dog who loves making a splash.
Pippa was rehomed in January 2021 and soon settled into family life and loved her introduction to the beach.
She's taken like a duck to water on Odyssey, loves meeting new people on the pontoons and having a sniff around the boat.
Her past times include playing fetch, having lap naps and enjoying the sunshine.
You will soon succumb to her puppy dog eyes and share your sandwiches.
Conservation is key to what we do. We believe strongly in responsible fishing at all times. Where possible, we practice catch and release fishing. All big game species are handled with the utmost care to ensure their best chance of survival. Sharks are released into the water to ensure minimal damage to internal organs. We have been involved in tagging sharks for scientific studies. All blue shark captures are recorded and the results used to contribute to the Pat Smith Database to further develop the scientific understanding of these beautiful creatures.
In 2023, We were privileged to be trained skipper and crew for the Welsh Government CHART program to study the mighty Atlantic Blue Fin Tuna off the Welsh coast. Now for 2024, our Tuna License has been renewed and so we will continue to legally target, tag and release Atlantic Bluefin Tuna off the west Wales coast.
Whilst conservation is key to a sustainable fishery, we understand that fresh fish can make a very healthy meal and so we encourage anglers to only take what they need to avoid unnecessary waste.
